Ingredients: 1 cup of warm water (<100 degrees F) 1 package rapid rise yeast (1/4 ounce) 1/2 teaspoon sugar 1/8 cup sunflower oil
3 cups unbleached all-purpose flour, sifted 1 teaspoon salt
Procedure: 1. In a glass pint jar, combine the water, sugar, and yeast. 2. Allow yeast to proof (foam) for 5 minutes. 3. Add the sunflower oil. 4. Mix the solution with a wooden chopstick. 5. In a glass mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. 6. Add one half of the liquid to the flour and stir together. 7. Add the remaining liquid and stir until a dough ball forms. 8. Allow dough ball to rest 5 minutes. 9. Knead the dough ball 5 times, adding flour if needed to keep it pliable. 10. Cover with plastic wrap and allow to double-in-size. 11. Remove from bowl and form a loaf. 12. Place into a parchment paper-lined metal loaf pan. 13. Allow dough to rise to the top of the load pan (approx. 30 minutes) 14. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees F. 15. Bake in the center of the oven for 12 minutes. 16. Turn the pan around 180 degrees. 17. Bake for another 12 minutes and remove from oven. 18. Remove loaf from pan and cool 30 minutes on a wire rack. 19. Enjoy!
